At Crystal Creek Lodge, we combine rugged Alaskan adventure with the comfort and warmth guests look for in luxury fishing lodges in Alaska. Perched above the Naknek River, our 7,500 square-foot main lodge was built from massive scribed logs and river rock, offering spectacular views and an inviting atmosphere. Throughout the lodge, you’ll notice the Alaska artifacts and art we’ve collected over the years, pieces that tell stories of this incredible place and make our lodge feel like part of the landscape.
We can host 14 to 16 guests in comfort, with 10 guest rooms in the main lodge and two private riverfront cabins. For private groups, we can accommodate up to 18 guests with advance arrangements. Every space from the lodge rooms to the cabins is designed so you can relax after a day on the river while still feeling connected to the Alaska wilderness.
Our Guest Rooms
We want our rooms to be more than just a place to sleep. They’re your retreat after long days fishing or exploring. Each room has a king or queen-sized bed, private bath with walk-in shower, blackout blinds, high-speed internet, an espresso machine, and plush robes for relaxing in comfort.
In the main lodge, rooms offer two full-size beds or a queen and a full, while one room has a king bed. For guests wanting more privacy or families traveling together, our riverfront cabins feature two bedroom suites with queen beds and private baths, plus a loft with twin beds and a third bathroom. Each cabin has a sitting area, a covered porch overlooking the Naknek River, and is just steps from our riverside hot tub. A boardwalk connects the cabins to the lodge, keeping you close while still offering your own private space.
We updated our beds in 2023 to ensure the most restful sleep possible, and every room includes thoughtful touches like a private wall safe and plenty of storage to keep your gear organized.
Dining at Crystal Creek Lodge
Food is a big part of life here, and our chef’s kitchen is open so you can watch us prepare every meal. We focus on fresh, local ingredients and let the day’s catch or what’s freshest in the market inspire our menu. Whether it’s Alaskan salmon, halibut, king crab, spot shrimp, or scallops, we take care to prepare each dish so it highlights the natural flavors. We also feature land meats like beef, chicken, duck, pork, and lamb from Alaska growers, prepared with creative techniques inspired by Asia, the West Coast, and Europe.
Dinner is plated to order, with your choice of seafood or meat entree nightly, paired with wines from our cellar. Hors d’oeuvres are served each evening, and we accommodate special dietary needs with advance notice. If you’ve caught a salmon or harvested a wild duck, we’ll happily prepare it for your meal or as hors d’oeuvres. It’s your experience, your way.
Wine, Beer, and Spirits
Our bar and wine cellar reflect the same care we put into every other aspect of the lodge. We stock a variety of domestic and imported beers, including local Alaskan microbrews, and premium spirits for relaxing after a day on the river. Our wine cellar features around 50 selections each year, including Chardonnay from Napa, Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir from Sonoma and Russian River, and Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina. You’re welcome to bring your own bottles to share, and we’ll help make the perfect pairings for your meal.
