“More than anything else the sensation is one of perfect peace mingled with an excitement that strains every nerve to the utmost if you can conceive of such a combination.” –Wilbur Wright

The DeHavilland Beaver

The hard-working quintessential Alaska bush plane, the DeHavilland Beaver occupies a well-deserved seat of honor in the annals of aviation history – especially bush flying. When developed over 65 years ago, perhaps no other airplane ever built has seen such a long career – especially in Alaska. The Beaver has proven to be an indispensable tool for reaching remote locations in the Alaska Bush, in the nation’s most aviation-dependent state. Known by some as the “workhorse of the north”, we operate a well-maintained fleet of four equipped with either floats or wheels. The sturdily built and reliable Beaver was designed to carry a lot of weight and handle all that Alaska can throw at it. With ample useful load and lots of get-up from a powerful 9-cylinder radial engine, our four Beavers are the perfect airplane for ferrying you to and from fishing and adventure destinations.
