A day on the Brooks River

The world-famous Brooks River, as a centerpiece of the Katmai National Park, is a short aircraft flight away from Crystal Creek Lodge and is a must-see experience. Crystal Creek Lodge took its first group of guests to the Brooks River on July 3, 1988. Since that trip, we have treated hundreds upon hundreds of guests to the exhilarating experience of fishing with the Brown Bears. Over the years the number of bears and the quality of fishing have increased exponentially. You will be under the care of our professional guides who have trained annually in bear etiquette.
